The Access Audit

Independent WCAG 2.1 AA testing — Aaron Siebold

Terms of service

What you are buying, what it is not, and how money and responsibility work. Ordering an audit means you agree to these.

Effective 3 September 2026. The Access Audit is operated by Aaron Siebold, a sole proprietor in Los Angeles, California.

1. What you are buying

A technical accessibility assessment of the website you name at checkout, tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Levels A and AA, using automated testing tools and, where the tier you chose includes it, manual testing by a person. The deliverable is a written report of findings with severity rankings and remediation guidance, delivered by email as HTML and PDF within the turnaround stated for your tier.

2. What it is not

By ordering you acknowledge and agree that:

3. Your part

Give us the website address in scope and, if pages sit behind a login, a test account you create for the engagement. Only order an audit of a site you own or are authorized to have tested. We honor the site’s robots.txt unless you authorize otherwise in writing.

4. Money and refunds

Prices are as shown on the pricing page at the time of checkout and are charged in full at checkout. If we cannot scan the site you named (for example, it is offline, blocks automated access, or is not the site you own), we tell you and refund the payment in full. Once a report has been delivered, the fee is earned; if the report is wrong about your site, tell us within 14 days and we will correct it or refund the tier fee, our choice. Remediation work and larger engagements are quoted separately after the audit and invoiced on their own terms.

5. Ownership

Once paid for, the report is yours to use however you like. The Access Audit keeps ownership of its tools, scripts, templates and methodology, and may use anonymized, non-identifying findings data. We will not name you as a client without your permission.

6. Confidentiality

Reports and scan data are kept privately as engagement records and shared with no one but you. See the privacy page for what this site collects (nothing).

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Access Audit’s total liability arising from an audit is limited to the fees you paid for it, and neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits, however arising. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under California law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

9. Changes

If these terms change, the effective date above changes with them. The terms in force when you ordered are the ones that apply to that order.
